Finance Manager

📍 London (Hybrid – 3 days in the office)

A high-growth, international professional services firm is seeking a Finance Manager to join its leadership team and take ownership of the day-to-day running of the finance function.

This is a newly created role, reporting directly to the Finance Director, and is well suited to a hands-on, commercially minded finance professional who enjoys building structure, improving processes, and operating with real ownership in an entrepreneurial, fast-scaling environment.

You will be responsible for the month-to-month management of the finance function, enabling the Finance Director to focus on strategic, commercial, and business-wide initiatives. As a newly created position, the role offers scope to evolve as the business continues to grow internationally.

• Own and deliver a smooth, well-controlled month-end close and prepare monthly management accounts
• Maintain strong balance sheet discipline, reconciliations, and accurate financial records
• Support forecasting, budgeting, and commercial reporting, improving visibility of revenue, contribution, and profitability
• Introduce and maintain contribution-based P&L reporting
• Oversee accounts receivable, invoicing accuracy, and revenue allocation in partnership with sales leadership
• Manage and develop the finance team, acting as deputy to the Finance Director when required
• Oversee UK and international payroll processes, liaising with external providers
• Lead audit preparation and support finance-led projects, including process improvements and compliance initiatives

• Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
• Experience with in recruitment, executive search, or professional services strongly preferred
• Comfortable operating in an SME or high-growth environment
• Proven experience improving or implementing finance processes
• Hands-on, delivery-focused, and commercially aware
