Senior Financial Accountant – Global Media Business

We are seeking a commercially minded Senior Financial Accountant to join a global media business, taking ownership of key financial processes in a fast-paced, international environment. This role will be instrumental in ensuring strong financial control, high-quality reporting, and effective cashflow management across multiple markets.

Key responsibilities include:

• End-to-end management of both direct and indirect cashflows, supporting complex, multi-territory revenue streams and cost structures.
• Design, implementation, and continuous improvement of global reporting streams to ensure accurate, timely, and insightful financial information.
• Preparation of technical accounting papers and resolution of complex accounting matters in a group and multi-entity environment.
• Full ownership of stock accounting, including capital stock and content-related assets where applicable.
• Review, maintenance, and enhancement of the financial control framework across multiple entities.
• Supporting the annual statutory and group audit processes, acting as a key point of contact for internal and external auditors.
• Review, preparation, and submission of monthly and quarterly management and group reporting.
• Line management, mentoring, and development of one Junior Financial Accountant.
• Preparation and review of key monthly balance sheets, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and compliance across entities.

You will be a qualified finance professional with strong technical expertise who thrives in a fast-paced, global media environment and is comfortable working across geographies and stakeholders.

• ACA or ACCA qualification.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge, ideally gained within a global media, advertising, broadcast, or digital content business.
• Proven experience managing both direct and indirect cashflows in a multi-entity or international environment.
• Advanced Excel skills with experience handling large datasets and financial data analytics.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels and across regions.
• A demonstrated ability to redesign and improve financial processes, often leveraging technology at scale.
• The ability to work under pressure, manage competing priorities, and maintain a high level of accuracy in a rapidly changing, international environment.
• Hybrid working, 3 days in the office, 2 from home
• 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays
• £60-70k depending on level of experience
