Senior Fund Controller - Valuations | Private Equity | ACA

A global private markets investment platform is strengthening its senior fund finance team and is appointing a Senior Fund Controller.

The role sits at the centre of a cornerstone European mandate
, with genuine ownership across fund control, governance, reporting quality, and stakeholder delivery. This opportunity is suited to someone who wants influence over how the operating model runs and scales—not simply responsibility for outputs

You will work closely with investment professionals, deal execution teams, and senior leadership, acting as a trusted financial counterpart across the full lifecycle of the fund.

As the platform continues to grow and launch increasingly complex strategies, fund finance plays a critical role in ensuring clarity, control, and confidence across performance, governance, and investor outcomes.

This role exists to provide senior-level oversight, judgement, and leadership—someone who can step into complexity, simplify it, and ensure the highest institutional standards are maintained.

• Financial stewardship of a complex, closed-ended private markets fund structure
• Oversight of NAVs, valuations, audits, and investor reporting with a strong control mindset
• Senior interface between fund finance, investment teams, and external service providers
• Leadership and development of fund accounting professionals across locations
• Judgement on technical and structural matters, escalating where appropriate
• Continuous improvement of processes, data quality, and reporting efficiency
• Contribution to fund launches, platform initiatives, and operational change

This role will appeal to someone already operating as a Fund Controller with at least 5 years PQE in Private Market in a Fund Finance role who wants broader scope and visibility.

• Professionally qualified (ACA / ACCA or equivalent)
• Experienced in closed-ended private equity fund although credit and debt will be considered
• Comfortable owning complex reporting and valuation processes
• Confident engaging with investment professionals and senior stakeholders
