Finance Manager

Overview

We are recruiting a Finance Manager to take ownership of the day-to-day finance function for a well-established manufacturing business based in East London. This is a hands-on role combining financial control, reporting, and commercial support, working closely with senior leadership to drive performance, accuracy, and informed decision-making.

The role would suit a commercially minded finance professional with experience in manufacturing or engineering-led environments.

• Manage monthly management accounts, forecasts, and budgets
• Oversee financial controls, ledgers, and cashflow management
• Analyse manufacturing costs, margins, and variances
• Support pricing, costing, and profitability analysis
• Manage payroll, VAT, and statutory reporting
• Work with auditors, accountants, and external advisors
• Improve financial processes, systems, and reporting accuracy
• Partner with operational teams to support production and commercial decisions

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
• Proven experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment
• Strong understanding of cost accounting and production finance
• Excellent Excel and financial reporting skills
• ERP or accounting system experience
• Commercial mindset with strong communication skills

• Salary in the region of £70,000, which could be negotiated for the right person
