Financial Controller

They are now recruiting for a technically strong Group Financial Controller.

Reporting to the CFO you will lead the day-to-day operations of the UK and group finance function.

You will manage/develop the team with the main-focus on management/financial reporting as well as FP&A and some ad-hoc project & analysis work.

• Review monthly management accounts and quarterly VAT returns
• Coordination of statutory group accounting, audit and managing auditors and liaising with tax advisors as required.
• Preparing monthly group cash flow reporting for the bank, including quarterly bank loan covenant testing.
• Manage financial IT systems, reviewing finance assistant postings as necessary and liaising with IT/Operational teams
• Preparation of annual budget & quarterly forecast
• Develop and maintain internal controls procedures, aiming to continuously streamline and improve financial operations and systems
• Ad-hoc project & analysis work as directed by the CFO and C-Suite
• Lead/develop the UK/Group Finance team/function

• Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA)
• Experienced FC with a proven background in managing a group/divisional finance function
• Technically strong with good knowledge of external reporting
• Excellent IT skills and always looking to improve processes
• Commercially astute and able to quickly establish credibility with non-financial stakeholders
• Media experience preferred but not essential
• Experienced team Leader who always gets the best out of their team
• A self-starter who can work autonomously and manage multiple projects/deadlines all at once
