Senior Finance Manager - Private Equity

JSS Search is partnering with a leading investment management firm with a long-established track record across private equity and alternative investment strategies. The firm manages significant assets on behalf of a blue-chip institutional investor base, including pension funds, sovereign wealth funds and financial institutions.

Operating through an extensive international network across Europe, the Americas and Asia, the organisation has continued to evolve and scale its platform, investing heavily in its finance, reporting and governance infrastructure to support a complex and growing global business. The firm is known for its analytical rigour, collaborative culture and long-term approach to value creation.

This is a senior role within the Group Finance function
, with responsibility for leading and enhancing high-quality financial reporting and management information for several key private equity platforms and boards.

The role will play a critical part in shaping how financial information is produced, analysed and presented to senior stakeholders, including investment committees and a global business operations executive committee. It requires strong technical finance capability, excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to operate confidently in a complex, fast-paced environment.

• Lead the preparation and delivery of monthly and quarterly financial reporting for multiple private equity boards.
• Own platform-level budgets, forecasts, long-range plans and detailed cost reporting
  , including robust variance analysis and forward-looking insight.
• Develop and enhance management information packs to support strategic and commercial decision-making.

• Act as a senior finance partner to Fund Administration, Portfolio Monitoring, HR and regional finance teams
  , ensuring consistency of data, assumptions and methodologies.
• Coordinate with finance teams across multiple geographies to deliver consistent, comparable reporting across platforms.
• Ensure platform-level reporting aligns with and reconciles to Group consolidated financials
  , maintaining strong controls and governance.

• Support the evolution of cost reporting and performance metrics for the Business Operations Executive Committee

• Prepare and present financial information directly to senior investment professionals and boards
  , responding to challenge and ad hoc analysis requests.
• Contribute to the ongoing development of reporting standards, governance and best practice.

• Line manage and develop at least one direct report
  , providing technical oversight, coaching and performance management.
• Act as a senior member of the Group Finance team, supporting continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.

• Lead or contribute to ad hoc strategic projects
  , including reporting enhancements, system implementations and process automation.
• Drive improvements in efficiency, insight and scalability through better use of data and reporting tools.

• ACA with 1st time passes and 7-10 years PQE
• Demonstrable experience delivering complex, multi-dimensional financial reporting to senior stakeholders (can come from any sector).
• Confident, credible communicator, comfortable operating at board and executive level.
• Highly organised, with the ability to manage competing priorities and tight deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail combined with commercial awareness and judgment.
• Advanced Excel skills; experience with PowerPoint and reporting / data visualisation tools (e.g. Power BI) highly desirable.
• Self-starter with the maturity and presence expected of a senior role within a global Group Finance function.
