Overview

After a sustained period of success and progression within the renewables tax compliance team we have the opportunity for an experienced Manager to join this growing team. The team works across the renewables sector from institutional investors through asset developers, giving you the chance to develop and further enhance your knowledge of this exciting and growing sector (sector knowledge isn’t essential and the opportunity to train and develop will be provided).

EY’s approach to compliance leverages the best technologies, processes and teams, now supplemented by AI, enabling the renewables team to deliver a high standard of tax compliance and reporting while partnering with clients to identify and deliver wider value‑added opportunities. The scope to combine advisory and compliance work across your portfolio is available. The team is closely supported by the global delivery service team in India, which provides opportunities to travel and play a key role in their development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Grow and maintain relationships with existing and new clients.
  • High‑level management of the successful delivery of technically complex tax compliance and tax reporting engagements, as well as related consulting projects.
  • Provide exceptional client service.
  • Work in conjunction with other tax specialist teams.
  • Help people develop by effectively supervising, coaching and mentoring staff.
  • Lead team initiatives, covering all aspects of leading a successful team.
  • Draw on significant experience in corporate tax from practice or an in‑house tax background.
  • Strong client relationship management skills.
  • Negotiation skills, able to sustain opinions and exhibit strong stakeholder management.
  • Business development skills, able to identify and convert opportunities to sell work.
  • Effective time management, remaining calm under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communicator in a range of written and oral situations.
  • Enthusiastic team player with the ability to create and sustain effective teams.
  • Experience coaching and developing junior staff.
  • Ensure delivery of quality work.
Qualifications
  • Experienced corporate tax practitioner (minimum of 4 years’ experience).
  • ACA / CA / ACCA / CTA / Tax Inspector with full technical training course, law qualification, tax specialist qualification, or breadth of knowledge equivalent to a tax specialist qualification.
Desired but not essential
  • Sector knowledge in renewable energy (not essential; training will be provided).
