We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Management Accountant to oversee financial reporting, manage accounts receivable and support day-to-day finance operations. The role will include preparation of management accounts, cash flow monitoring, sales ledger management and ensuring accurate recording of revenues and costs across multiple channels, including wholesale and e-commerce.
DUTIES AND JOB RESPONSIBILITIESManagement Accounting:
- Ensure timely month-end close, including balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, prepayments and journal preparation.
- Manage fixed assets and run monthly depreciation reports.
- Process and reconcile intercompany transactions and balances.
- Prepare and post monthly cost of goods sold for WHS customers and e-commerce Pay Pal income.
- Prepare monthly management accounts and margin analysis reports with insightful commentary for senior leadership.
- Support the Accounts Assistant with queries to maintain smooth finance operations and accurate general ledger records.
- Prepare supporting analysis for auditors as part of the annual financial statement audit.
- Submit quarterly VAT returns and manage US and EU sales tax filings.
- Provide advice and support in Xero, acting in an advisory capacity where needed.
- Perform ad-hoc tasks to support the CFO and MD.
Accounts Receivable / Revenue Duties:
- Manage the WHS sales ledger end-to-end, including multi-currency invoicing and credit notes, income allocation, cash collection, bank reconciliations, credit control, customer statement reconciliation and oversight of invoice financing customer and bank accounts.
- Oversee daily e-commerce sales, approve Shopify-related invoices and ensure accurate recording of revenue.
- Enter monthly financials for the company’s US entity.
- Update cash flow reports and monitor income from wholesale and e-commerce activities.
- Assist with banking and treasury tasks as required.
- Professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) preferred.
- Strong experience in management accounting, accounts receivable and sales ledger management.
- Proficiency in Xero; experience with multi-currency transactions is desirable.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills for liaising with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Ability to prioritise your tasks to ensure all deadlines are met
- Ability to work independently and support junior finance staff.
- Advanced Excel skills are essential
