Financial Manager
We are a high-growth, VC-backed SaaS business operating in a fast-scaling, international market. With a strong product, expanding customer base, and an ambitious leadership team, the business is entering its next phase of scale, with increasing complexity across revenue, pricing, customer economics, and operating leverage.
Finance plays a central role in enabling disciplined growth, supporting strategic decision-making, and ensuring the business scales efficiently. This role will sit at the heart of that agenda.
The RoleWe are seeking an experienced VP of FP&A to lead planning, forecasting, and performance management across the business. Reporting into the CFO, this role will act as a strategic partner to the Executive team, providing insight, challenge, and commercial rigour as the company continues to scale.
This is a high-impact role with ownership of company-wide forecasting, long-range planning, board reporting, and financial decision support across all functions, particularly Revenue, Product, Go-To-Market, and Operations.
Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic Planning & Forecasting
- Own the company’s annual budget, rolling forecast, and long-range planning processes
- Develop scalable forecasting models aligned to a SaaS operating model
- Lead scenario planning to support growth initiatives, pricing changes, investment decisions, and headcount planning
- Translate strategic goals into clear financial plans and operational targets
Business Partnering
- Act as a trusted finance partner to senior leaders across Sales, Marketing, Product, Engineering, and Operations
- Provide commercial insight into performance drivers, risks, and opportunities
- Support decision-making around growth initiatives, product investment, and market expansion
- Challenge assumptions with data-driven insight while enabling pace and agility
Performance & Insight
- Build and own reporting on core SaaS KPIs (ARR, NRR, churn, CAC, LTV, gross margin, burn, runway, etc.)
- Deliver clear, concise performance packs for the Executive team and Board
- Identify trends, variances, and emerging risks, turning data into actionable insight
- Continuously improve the quality, speed, and relevance of reporting
Board, Investor & Stakeholder Support
- Play a key role in Board and investor reporting, including monthly performance updates and ad-hoc analysis
- Support fundraising activity, diligence processes, and investor requests as required
- Partner closely with the CFO on external messaging and narrative
Team & Capability Building
- Build, develop, and lead a high-performing FP&A team
- Drive best-practice financial modelling, tooling, and processes
- Improve systems, data integrity, and scalability as the business grows
- Foster a culture of ownership, curiosity, and commercial thinking within Finance
Experience
- Proven experience in a senior FP&A role within a high-growth SaaS, subscription, or technology business
- Experience operating in a VC-backed and/or PE-backed environment
- Strong track record of partnering with senior leadership and influencing decision-making
- Experience supporting Board-level reporting and strategic planning
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, evolving environment with ambiguity
Technical & Commercial Skills
- Deep understanding of SaaS metrics, revenue models, and unit economics
- Excellent financial modelling and analytical capability
- Ability to link financial outcomes to operational and commercial drivers
- Strong systems mindset; experience improving forecasting and reporting tooling
Personal Attributes
- Commercial, intellectually curious, and detail-oriented
- Confident communicator able to simplify complex financial narratives
- Pragmatic, hands-on, and delivery-focused
- Natural leader with the ability to build credibility across the business
- ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent qualification (preferred but not essential)
- Senior leadership role within a rapidly scaling SaaS business
- High visibility and exposure to C-suite, Board, and investors
