Head of Commercial Finance

Brewer Morris has been exclusively engaged by a confidential, high‑growth, pan european infrastructure‑backed business to identify a top caliber Head of Commercial Finance. With strong investor support and ambitious expansion plans, the organisation plays a critical role in enabling next‑generation connectivity and operates in a complex, capital‑intensive environment where robust financial insight underpins strategic and operational decision‑making.

We are seeking a commercially minded FP&A leader—a qualified accountant with strong modelling and analytical capability—who can lead a small, high‑performing team and partner credibly with senior stakeholders. The successful candidate will be equally comfortable owning the monthly reporting and forecasting rhythm as they are supporting long‑term planning, evaluating growth opportunities and influencing outcomes at executive and shareholder level.

• Lead the Financial Planning & Analysis and Commercial Finance function, developing best‑in‑class reporting, forecasting and analytical capability
• Own monthly management reporting across P&L, cash flow and balance sheet, providing clear insight into performance, risks and opportunities
• Lead monthly and quarterly forecasting processes, including cash flow and working capital
• Deliver the annual budgeting process in line with Group timelines, partnering closely with commercial and operational leaders
• Oversee long‑term planning, scenario modelling and value‑creation analysis, including assessment of key drivers and shareholder impacts
• Lead commercial finance support for new projects and growth initiatives, including business cases, pricing reviews and investment appraisal (NPV / IRR)
• Leading a team and navigating a fast paced high growth environment.
• Provide high‑quality financial input into Board and shareholder reporting
• Drive continuous improvement across planning, reporting and financial analysis processes
• Act as a trusted finance business partner to senior commercial and operational stakeholders

• Professionally qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA)
• Significant post‑qualification experience in FP&A, commercial finance or financial modelling roles
• Strong experience in management reporting, forecasting, budgeting and long‑term financial planning
• Advanced financial modelling capability is paramount. (Project and investment appraisal xp preferred)
• Experience working in complex, capital‑intensive or infrastructure‑led environments (or similarly analytical sectors)
• Proven ability to engage, influence and challenge senior non‑finance stakeholders
• Experience leading, developing and coaching high‑performing teams
• Excellent analytical skills with strong attention to detail and commercial judgement
• Advanced Excel capability and confidence working with multi‑input financial models
