Interim Finance Director/FP&A Lead (FTC or Day Rate) £120-£130k equivalent
PE-backed SaaS business | London (Hybrid) | ASAP start (two weeks notice max)
We are supporting a PE-backed SaaS business with the appointment of an Interim Senior FP&A Lead / Finance Director to provide cover during a senior leadership maternity leave.
This is a 6–7 month assignment, starting in late February or early March, with potential to extend to c.9 months. The role can be structured as a fixed-term contract or day-rate interim, depending on candidate preference.
This is not a statutory Finance Director role. The emphasis is firmly on FP&A, commercial planning and performance management within a fast-growing, sponsor-backed environment.
The RoleYou will take ownership of the group’s financial planning and forecasting agenda, operating as a senior number two to the CFO and working closely with the wider leadership team.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading the full reforecast and annual budgeting cycles, including scenario planning and consolidation across multiple product lines
- Owning the production of budget and reforecast outputs for board and investor review
- Maintaining a strong audit trail, version control and sign-off across all financial models and decks
- Acting as a senior commercial partner to revenue, customer operations and go-to-market teams
- Reviewing and challenging new product and investment business cases
- Providing guidance and oversight to an established FP&A resource
- Ensuring continuity and quality across monthly performance processes
The role is delivery-focused and requires someone able to grip quickly, operate with pace, and add judgement rather than simply process.
What We’re Looking For:- Proven experience in a senior FP&A or FP&A Director roles
- Background in PE-backed, SaaS or recurring-revenue businesses is essential
- Comfortable operating in scale-up environments with tight planning timelines
- Strong stakeholder management skills and commercial judgement
- Able to review, steer and consolidate complex financial outputs rather than build everything personally
- Immediately available or short notice preferred (2 weeks max)
