Mortgage Administration Team Leader

Edinburgh, Scotland - hybrid Salary dependent on experience + bonus & excellent benefits

Our client a customer focused financial services organisation has an exciting opportunity for a Mortgage Administration Team Leader
. Reporting to the Head of Mortgage Operations, you will be responsible for the efficient management of the Mortgage Administration function. This includes the processing and administration of new mortgage business and the ongoing post-completion management of the mortgage portfolio. The role is hybrid with a requirement to be in the office at least 3 days each week ideally, likely more in the first 6 months.

Duties

will include:
  • Leading, managing and motivating the Mortgage Administration team, allocating and monitoring daily workloads to ensure service levels and customer outcomes are achieved
  • Delivering and overseeing a frictionless post-completion and ongoing administration journey for customers
  • Approving holidays, conducting appraisals and managing Personal Development Plans
  • Authorising large payments and overseeing the release of mortgage funds
  • Undertaking hands‑on administrative duties when required to meet business needs
The successful candidate will possess:
  • Recent, demonstrable and relevant experience in a team leadership role from within the financial services sector
  • Proven experience of working cross functionally and collaboratively
  • Strong organisational and time‑management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
