Equity Research Associate

Our client, a boutique investment management firm is seeking a driven and intellectually curious Investment Analyst to join its Global Equities team in London.

The role will contribute research and investment ideas across long-only strategies, with exposure to a range of sectors and geographies.

This opportunity is well suited to candidates with early-career equity research experience who are looking to develop their skills within a collaborative, intellectually rigorous environment underpinned by a disciplined research process.

• Perform deep-dive, bottom-up fundamental research on companies
• Develop and maintain robust financial models, forecasts and valuation analysis
• Track macroeconomic, sector-level and company-specific developments
• Produce high-quality research notes and investment recommendations for portfolio consideration
• Work closely with senior analysts and portfolio managers throughout the investment lifecycle
• Engage with company management teams, sell-side analysts and industry specialists

• 2-4 years of experience in equity research, either buy-side or sell-side
• Progress towards the CFA qualification
• Strong academic background, ideally in finance, economics, engineering or a related field
• Clear and demonstrable interest in investing
• Genuine enthusiasm for financial markets and long-term investing
• Excellent analytical ability, critical thinking skills and attention to detail
