Credit Control

We’re working with a leading insurance organisation who are looking to add an experienced Credit Controller to their finance team. This role plays a key part in maintaining accurate accounts, managing outstanding debt and supporting strong broker and stakeholder relationships.

You’ll be responsible for:

• Maintaining accuracy of sales ledger accounts through reconciliations, cash allocation and journals
• Proactively managing aged debt, issuing statements and chasing insurers/brokers
• Liaising closely with underwriting and claims teams
• Processing broker commission payments and related accounting entries
• Monitoring reinsurance invoicing and performing key reconciliations
• Supporting month-end processes including bank charges and reconciliations
• Training and covering for other team members when required

We’re looking for someone with:

• Experience in credit control, within an insurance environment or wider financial or professional services
• Strong numerical and analytical skills
• Advanced Excel and solid MS Office capability
• Excellent communication and problem-solving ability
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
