Senior Financial Accountant

We’re supporting a rapidly scaling technology-led infrastructure business operating across the UK, currently seeking a Senior Financial Accountant to join their finance function on a long-term interim basis.

This is a broad, hands‑on role with responsibility for group‑level reporting, statutory compliance, and oversight of multiple UK entities. You’ll play a key role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining strong controls, and supporting audit and compliance activity during a period of continued growth and operational complexity.

The role suits a technically strong accountant who is comfortable working across group structures, partnering with stakeholders, and operating in a fast‑paced, evolving environment.

You’ll take ownership of UK financial reporting across several legal entities, including holding‑level entities, while also contributing to group consolidation and compliance activities. Working closely with internal teams and external advisors, you’ll ensure reporting accuracy, consistency, and control across the UK portfolio.

• Produce monthly management accounts and statutory reporting for UK group entities, including responsibility for holding‑level entities and related payment processes
• Prepare and review UK group consolidation schedules, ensuring accuracy and alignment with group reporting requirements
• Deliver high‑quality financial reports and analysis for internal leadership and external stakeholders
• Oversee intercompany activity across the UK group, ensuring transactions are accurately recorded, reconciled, and appropriately treated from an accounting and tax perspective
• Support the external audit process, acting as a key point of contact and coordinating information requests
• Provide finance support to business initiatives, projects, and growth‑related activity
• Manage tax administration, including VAT return preparation and coordination of UK corporation tax filings with advisors
• Review monthly financial submissions ensuring timely, accurate reporting

• Fully qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent)
• Strong background in financial accounting, statutory reporting, and group structures
• Experience working within complex, multi‑entity UK groups
• Comfortable overseeing consolidations and intercompany accounting
• Strong understanding of UK VAT and corporation tax administration
• Confident working with modern ERP systems (Net Suite desirable)
• Detail‑oriented, resilient, and comfortable operating in a fast‑moving environment
• Strong communicator able to work effectively with senior stakeholders and external advisors
