Property Accountant

Location:
London

Hybrid: 4 days in the office, 1 from home

• Overseeing all financial aspects of properties under management.
• Producing month-end management accounts with accuracy, including VAT, bank, cash, and control account reconciliations.
• Taking ownership of monthly balances to ensure accuracy, with a focus on rent, service charges, and direct recovery funds.
• Managing cashflow for each property to guarantee suppliers are paid seamlessly.
• Raising income demands punctually, in line with internal schedules.
• Seeking opportunities to enhance departmental procedures and deliver innovative solutions.
• Addressing issues proactively, escalating them where necessary, and contributing to a smooth workflow.
• Producing ad-hoc reports and assisting with the setup of exciting new sites.
• Producing year-end accounts, guiding the independent accountant review process, and ensuring service charge packs are delivered on time.
• Partnering with site teams and surveyors to provide expert financial guidance on service charge reviews, mid-year forecasts, and ad-hoc queries.
• Playing a vital role in preparing annual service charge budgets, adhering to RICS guidelines.

• 3+ years Property/Service Charge Accounting experience within a commercial portfolio.
• Understanding of RICS guidelines.
• Proactive, enthusiastic and has strong teamwork.
• Qube experience (desirable not essential)
