Compliance Associate - Hedge Fund

Overview

Coopman Search and Selection are delighted to partner with a top tier hedge fund which circa $9 billion AUM who are looking to hire a Compliance Associate due to the impressive growth of the firm. The role will report direct into the CCO and will form part of small compliance function.

In this role you will be responsible for supporting the compliance program, working across a wide variety of responsibilities across both core and trade compliance.

• Monitor and assess regulatory changes and ensure the business adapts accordingly.
• Implementation of compliance policy and updates as required
• Assisting the team with the review and approval of marketing presentations, due diligence questionnaires, client reports and fund reports
• Provide compliance advice to the business development function including jurisdictional marketing rules.
• Coordinate PAD requests
• Prepare and submit non-financial regulatory filings.
• Coordinate AML/KYC requests from counter parties and investment entities.
• Ensure privacy and data protection rules are adhered to.
• Monitor staff training against regulatory requirements.
• Conduct periodic compliance reviews and audits.
• Stay current with industry best practices and regulations.
• Scope to be involved with applicable global regulation as the business grows.

• 3-5 years’ experience in compliance within financial services, either on the buyside or sellside
• Experience and knowledge of AIFMD & MiFID II.
• Demonstrate an interest to lead projects and take responsibility
• Good organisational skills
• Solid work ethic, with ability to work in a fast-paced environment
