Join a fast-growing, award-winning specialist lender supporting SME property developers across England & Wales with loans typically ranging from c. £250k to £10m. You’ll play a pivotal role in structuring and executing new transactions, collaborating with Sales, Transactions and Asset Management, and presenting well-reasoned recommendations to Credit Committee.

• Assess new lending proposals, identify key risks, and recommend structures aligned to credit policy and risk appetite.
• Drive cases from offer to completion
  -coordinating stakeholders and ensuring conditions precedent are satisfied on time.
• Review third-party reports (valuations, monitoring surveyors, planning docs) and maintain clear decision rationales.
• Prepare robust credit papers using in-house underwriting tools and present to Credit Committee.
• Peer-review colleagues’ files and contribute to continuous improvement across underwriting processes.

• Demonstrable underwriting experience, ideally within bridging and/or development finance.
• Strong time-management and the ability to run multiple live transactions to tight deadlines.
• Clear, confident communication with brokers, borrowers, valuers, monitoring surveyors and solicitors.
• Meticulous attention to detail and a commercial mindset.
