Position: Bookkeeper (9-month contract)
Location: Greater London

We are seeking an experienced, detail ‑ driven accounts assistant on a temporary basis to support our finance team with

day ‑ to ‑ day accounting tasks and ensure accurate, timely financial records. This role is ideal for someone who can quickly

integrate, work efficiently, and deliver reliable bookkeeping support. You’ll be joining a supportive team who enjoy creating a positive environment to work in. We’re looking for someone who will not only get the work done, but also bring a warm and collaborative energy.

We are looking for someone to start as soon as possible with an end date in September 2026.

Department: Finance Team

Reporting Line:

Location: London (3 days in the office per week – Tuesday – Thursday)

Record is a leading specialist currency and asset manager with $110.3 billion (as at 30 September 2025) in Assets Under Management Equivalent. Record’s services include currency management, sustainable finance, and asset management. Our clients are largely institutions, including pension funds, charities, foundations, endowments, and family offices. Record’s financial year is 1 April – 31 March.

Record’s offices are in London in the UK, Zürich, Hamburg, and New York.

Key Result Area
  • Handling daily bookkeeping tasks and transactional activity.
  • Posting journals and accurately maintaining sub-ledgers.
  • Preparing documents for payment cycles and performing bank reconciliations.
  • Supporting month‑end close and ensuring accurate financial records.
  • Assist with balance sheet reconciliations to ensure strong financial governance.
  • Supporting general finance administration.
  • Prepare and update schedules for month ‑ end reporting.
  • Assisting with audit documentation and respond to finance queries.
  • Work closely with the wider team, offering administrative support, sharing knowledge, and contributing to a positive team atmosphere.
Requirements
  • Proven prior experience as a Bookkeeper, Accounts Assistant, or similar finance role.
  • Strong proficiency with Excel is essential.
  • Experience with financial software or ERP systems (SAP ByD is preferable).
  • Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach.
  • Ability to work independently while also being a keen team contributor.
  • Excellent communication skills and a positive, proactive approach.
