Senior Reserving Analyst

Fantastic opportunity for a reserving analyst looking to step up into a senior analyst role. You would be joining a Lloyd's syndicate working across a variety of classes including: specialty treaty reinsurance, D&F, E&O energy, credit, D&O, cyber and tech, US property and A&H.

You'd be joining a team of 3 and would have a junior to support you. Ideally you will have a minimum of 2 years + experience.

Key responsbilities include:

• Assisting the Head of Reserving to perform the quarterly reserving for lines of business for the Syndicates under management
• Understand and help develop Reserving MI that can be used across the business to understand key trends
• Assess performance and highlight areas of concern and potential areas of remediation
• Calculate and review reserve uncertainty/ranges and assist in communicating this to relevant stakeholders
• Review both gross and ceded data and controls to ensure data used in reserving is robust
• Assist in the delivery of technical provisions and that submissions are made to high standard in a timely manner
• Assist with the quarterly technical provision valuations and validations, adhering to the required standards and ensuring technical provisions deliverables are met
• Assist in carrying out deep dive reviews across different areas of the business that impact the actuarial function
• Help maintain reserving and technical provisions documentation with the required frequency, adhering to the review requirements and obtaining the appropriate signoffs
• Assist in Lloyds and management reporting, including QMA, QMB, QSRs, ASRs, SAO, TPD etc
• Carry out development pattern review for lines of business for the Syndicates under management

You'd be lead by a Head of Reserving that encourages the team to think outside the box and be creative. It's a fast paced, dynamic environment so you'd need to be comfortable working in this environment.
