Interim CFO – Investor-Backed SaaS Business

Location: London – Hybrid, minimum 3 days per week in the office

Start Date: Immediate / ASAP

Stanton House is partnering with a fast-growth, investor-backed SaaS business to appoint an experienced Interim CFO on an initial 3–6 month FTC (potential to extend or convert to permanent). Reporting directly to the CEO, this hands-on role will lead a finance function of seven, supporting rapid scale-up from ~£50m to £100m ARR and ensuring financial systems and reporting are robust, streamlined, and ready for potential acquisition due diligence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the finance function, overseeing budgeting, reporting, and process improvements across the business.
  • Review, clean up, and optimise current financial processes, removing complexity and reliance on manual spreadsheets.
  • Implement robust systems, frameworks, and controls to support rapid scale-up and potential acquisition preparation.
  • Provide strategic financial insight to the CEO and board to drive business decisions.
  • Manage, coach, and develop a team of five direct reports across the UK and France.
  • Support forecasting, operational planning, and performance tracking aligned to growth targets.
  • Ensure timely, accurate, and insightful financial reporting for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Collaborate closely with commercial, HR, and operational teams to embed financial discipline and insight across the business.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Proven finance leadership experience in a scale-up environment, ideally around £50m ARR.
  • Strong strategic mindset with experience preparing businesses for acquisition.
  • Experience in SaaS companies is essential.
  • Hands-on, proactive, and highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, capable of working closely with a CEO and active board.
  • Strong leadership and coaching ability to develop and motivate a small finance team.
  • Track record of implementing scalable finance systems and process improvements.

This is an exceptional opportunity for a finance professional to make a tangible impact on a well-funded, investor-backed SaaS business, preparing the company for its next stage of growth and potential strategic exit.
