Position: Assistant Manager, Actuarial (Experience Studies)
Location: Greater London

Income’s Actuarial team aims to create exponential value and cultivates a dynamic learning culture. We are a strong partner with other departments to transform and innovate the delivery of simple, honest and customer-focused insurance solutions.

You will be an integral member of the Actuarial Life Reporting Team who will work in collaboration with other key team members, the Finance department on key functions pertaining to Financial Reporting. We are looking for a team player within the financial reporting team with the following key responsibilities. The role will provide first hand exposure to chief actuary as well as opportunities to enhance actuarial technical knowledge and play a key role in adopting new technologies.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE
  • Deliver actuarial assumptions for Life portfolio; and ensure internal and regulatory compliance
  • Responsible for experience studies & provide insights including mortality, morbidity, expense studies
  • Responsible for valuation data workflows and Alteryx models, and uphold best practices
  • Responsible for reinsurance management to sharpen financial provision
  • Drive initiatives of actuarial processes, adoption of new data analytic & technology on experience studies
  • Participate in ad-hoc actuarial projects and tasks based on department priorities
REQUIREMENTS
  • Good progress in actuarial qualifications with either US, UK, or Australia Actuarial Institutes
  • 4 - 8 years of relevant experience in Life valuation function (experience studies etc)
  • Experience in regulatory reporting will be an advantage
  • Technical, meticulous, and able to apply critical thinking
  • Able to communicate in simple and concise way to stakeholders
  • Able to work independently and collaborate with other team members within actuarial and other departments
  • Adaptable, open to a dynamic working environment and willing to explore new ways of working
