Location: Greater London

Eton Bridge Partners have been retained on a confidential search to appoint a Group Finance Director for a private equity-backed, international technology and services business.

This role, reporting directly to the CFO, will lead all financial activity across the Group, ensuring the business is well controlled, commercially informed, and positioned for its next phase of growth and value creation.

The appointment is a key hire within a PE-owned environment, supporting a multi-year transformation agenda, including finance capability uplift, systems simplification, and exit readiness.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead Group-wide financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning in line with strategic and investor objectives.
  • Own Group reporting, month-end close, statutory accounts, audit, tax, and IFRS compliance across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Strengthen financial controls, governance frameworks, and risk management, ensuring PE-grade financial discipline.
  • Provide commercial finance leadership, partnering with Sales, Operations, and HR to support pricing, investment, and resource decisions.
  • Manage Group cash, treasury, funding requirements, and working capital optimisation.
  • Support M&A activity including financial due diligence, valuation modelling, and post-acquisition integration.
  • Prepare and present financial packs for the Operations Board and investors, including performance analysis and key risk insights.
The Ideal Candidate
  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with significant post-qualification experience.
  • Senior finance leadership experience within complex, multi-entity and international businesses.
  • Exposure to private equity-backed or investor-led environments.
  • Strong technical grounding across reporting, controls, IFRS, and tax, combined with commercial acumen.
  • Proven experience delivering finance transformation, including system change and operating model redesign.
  • A resilient, hands-on leadership style, able to drive change while maintaining high standards.
