VAT Compliance Manager – Top 10 Accountancy Firm

We’re hiring an experienced VAT Compliance Manager to join a leading Top 10 firm who are arguably the leading Mid Tier VAT team and play a key role in delivering high-quality VAT compliance services across the UK, EU, and international markets.

This is a hands‑on role with real impact. You’ll lead VAT compliance engagements, act as the main point of contact for clients, and ensure accurate, timely indirect tax filings. You’ll also help drive process improvements, use technology to enhance delivery, and develop junior team members within a collaborative, high‑performing team.

• Managing UK, EU, and international VAT compliance engagements
• Reviewing VAT returns and ensuring technical accuracy and quality
• Building strong client relationships and acting as a trusted advisor
• Improving VAT compliance processes and efficiencies
• Coaching and developing junior team members

• Strong VAT compliance experience (UK and ideally European/global)
• Interest in process improvement and tech-enabled delivery
• Experience managing or mentoring junior staff
• Strong Excel skills (Alteryx a plus)
• Confident communicator with international client exposure
