Graduate Financial Planner

Our client is a respected wealth management firm providing tailored financial advice to a diverse client base. As part of their continued growth, they are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Graduate Financial Planner to support senior financial planners while developing the skills and experience required to progress toward full adviser status.

Responsibilities
  • Assisting senior advisers with client meetings, preparation of financial plans, and implementation of advice
  • Preparing and maintaining client documentation including fact finds, risk profiles, and file notes
  • Supporting the development of client strategies through research and analysis
  • Ensuring all advice and documentation complies with AFSL, ASIC, and FASEA requirements
  • Maintaining accurate, up-to-date, and well-organised client records
  • Providing administrative and paraplanning support to the advisory team
  • Participating in structured training programs and on-the-job learning
  • Keeping up to date with financial products, legislation, and industry best practices
  • Completing CPD requirements and progressing toward relevant qualifications
  • Shadowing senior advisers to build client engagement and advice delivery skills
Essentials
  • Bachelor’s degree in Financial Planning, Commerce, or a related discipline (either complete or nearing completion)
  • RG146 compliance certification completed or in progress (preferred)
  • At least 1 year of administrative experience highly regarded but not essential
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent organisational skills
  • Professional written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a professional services environment
  • Strong work ethic with a genuine interest in building a career in financial planning
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team while taking initiative when required
