• Deal with queries and account adjustments efficiently and within agreed timescales.

• Liaise with Local Authority Housing Benefit teams, Social Services, Allpay, banks, and customers to support prompt payment and accurate posting of income.

• Provide information and support to internal and external auditors when required.

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation, procedures, and best practice relating to Accounts Receivable.

• Support continuous performance improvements across the function.

• Maintain accurate financial data, managing large and complex datasets using Excel and internal systems.

• Proven ability to resolve complex payment issues using data analysis and problem-solving skills.

• Good understanding of month-end processes, reporting, and reconciliations.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.

• Strong Excel skills; experience of D365 is desirable.

• Ideally studying towards an AAT or CCAB-recognised accounting qualification (study support available where applicable).

• A commitment to ethical principles including integrity, objectivity, confidentiality, and professional behaviour.
