Chief Financial Officer

The Opportunity

We are seeking a high-calibre Chief Financial Officer to join a fast-growing, private equity–backed SaaS business headquartered in London. The company has reached ~£20m ARR through a successful buy‑and‑build strategy and is now entering the most critical phase of its value‑creation journey: professionalising the finance function, integrating acquisitions, and preparing the business for a successful exit within the next 18–24 months.

This is a rare opportunity to step into a true value‑creation role, partnering closely with the CEO, leadership team, and PE sponsor to shape strategy, drive performance, and deliver an exit.

As CFO, you will own all aspects of financial leadership across the group, acting as both a strategic partner and a hands‑on operator. You will be instrumental in:

• Leading financial strategy aligned with the PE value‑creation plan and exit objectives
• Owning group reporting, forecasting, budgeting, and KPI frameworks (ARR, NRR, CAC, LTV, churn, etc.)
• Driving commercial insight across pricing, unit economics, and growth initiatives
• Leading M&A execution: financial diligence, deal structuring, integration, and synergy tracking
• Professionalising finance, systems, controls, and governance across the group
• Managing lender and investor relationships, including board reporting and PE communications
• Preparing the business for exit: data room readiness, equity story, vendor due diligence, and buyer interactions

• Act as a core member of the executive team and a trusted partner to the CEO
• Lead and develop a high‑performing finance team
• Ensure robust cash management, working capital discipline, and financial controls
• Own statutory reporting, audit, tax, and compliance
• Implement scalable systems and processes suitable for a larger, exit‑ready business
• Support international expansion and post‑acquisition integration where relevant
