Interim Finance Manager – 5‑Month Contract.

• Lead day‑to‑day financial management across the Trust and its academies, managing a team of 3 and reporting to the Finance Director
• Produce high‑quality monthly management accounts, analysis and commentary
• Support budgeting, forecasting and long‑term financial planning
• Manage payroll, VAT returns, statutory reporting and financial compliance
• Review ledgers, balance sheet reconciliations and ensure robust internal controls
• Guide and develop Finance Officers, bringing out their best
• Drive value‑for‑money decisions and support tendering and contract negotiations
• Contribute to governance, continuous improvement and cost‑saving initiatives

• Strong accounting knowledge and experience in management accounts, forecasting and financial reporting
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills
• A calm, detail‑driven, organised approach
• Confidence working with sensitive financial data and supporting non‑financial stakeholders
• Experience in education finance – essential

This role requires someone onsite 3-4 days a week (North West London) and can be applied for on a day rate of £350 per day or a FTC at £60K.
