Remuneration:£35,000-£40,000 basic salary plus bonus and benefits
A City-based financial planning firm is seeking a Junior Financial Adviser to join its advisory team as part of a planned growth phase. This position is ideal for a Level 4 qualified adviser who is looking to build confidence, capability, and autonomy within a structured and well-supported environment.
The successful individual will work with an existing portfolio of clients, supporting them through structured financial reviews and long-term planning. Advice will span core areas including investments, retirement planning, personal protection, and estate considerations. The role offers a clear pathway toward achieving full Competent Adviser Status.
Key Responsibilities- Provide ongoing advice and support to an allocated group of clients in line with regulatory standards
- Carry out structured financial reviews and implement suitable planning strategies
- Develop professional, long-term relationships with clients through regular engagement
- Support the generation of new advice opportunities through referrals and client activity
- Collaborate with internal support teams to ensure accurate, efficient, and timely delivery of advice
- Engage fully in training, supervision, and development activity to enhance technical knowledge and advisory skills
- Level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning (or equivalent professional qualification)
- Background within financial services, with a minimum of 2-3 years industry experience
- Motivation to progress towards Chartered status over time
- Sound understanding of core advice areas including pensions, investments, protection, and taxation
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Professional, ethical approach with a strong focus on client outcomes
- High attention to detail and appreciation of regulatory obligations
- Confident user of Microsoft Office; experience with financial planning tools or CRM systems
- Positive, collaborative mindset with a willingness to learn and accept feedback
- Structured training programme designed to support progression to Competent Adviser Status
