Finance Manager

Lead core finance operations in a growing consultancy, with the autonomy and flexibility to make a real impact Your new company A specialist consultancy working across the built‑environment sectors is seeking an experienced Financial Manager to lead day‑to‑day financial operations. Your new role This is a standalone position suited to someone who enjoys autonomy, variety, and making a direct impact within a growing, supportive organisation.

Responsibilities will include:
Manage daily finance activities: invoicing, accounts payable, supplier payments, credit control and cashflow Oversee timesheets, expenses, and internal financial processes Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal policies Produce management information (MI) and provide financial insight Liaise with external accountants for statutory and year‑end requirements Improve financial systems and processes; experience with Xero is beneficial What you'll need to succeed The ideal candidate will be a qualified or part‑qualified finance professional (CIMA, ACCA or equivalent) with strong analytical, communication and problem‑solving skills.

They will demonstrate a high level of accuracy, excellent attention to detail and confidence working with advanced Excel.

Experience with in the education or construction sectors is advantageous, along with a proactive and collaborative approach suited to a standalone finance role.
