The Function

The Property Development team at Triple Point provides development lending to a range of UK-based house builders and developers. Loan sizes are typically between £1m and £20m and primarily focused in the residential house building market.
The team supports responsible growth in the sector with a strong emphasis on commercial viability, robust credit oversight and disciplined portfolio management.

The Team

You will sit within the Property Team as partibal of the Portfolio Management function, reporting to the Head of Portfolio Management. The role works closely with Origination, Credit, internal Portfolio Managers and other Private Credit colleagues, contributing to a high‑performing, collaborative lending environment.

The Role

The Portfolio Manager plays a key role in managing the performance, risk management and progression of Triple Point’s UK residential development loan book. As a Portfolio Manager you will have a dedicated portfolio to manage and this role strengthens portfolio oversight, improves controls and provides clear, evidence‑based credit recommendations that protect investor values.

You will lead detailed portfolio reviews, support decision‑making through high‑quality analysis and play an important part in maintaining the robustness of Triple Point’s development lending lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and maintain a portfolio of property loans from inception through to exit
  • Review and analyse monthly drawdown reports, analysing project progress, budgets, risks and compliance, bringing these findings together to present to internal stakeholders ensuring the facility is operating in line with credit approval
  • Identify early warning signs such as delays, cost pressures, covenant risks or borrower concerns and escal ally appropriately
  • Act as the day‑to‑day point of contact for borrowers and key counter parties
  • Build strong, professional relationships while maintaining appropriate credit discipline
  • Present findings and recommendations to the Property Finance team to support amendments, waivers or escalations
  • Improve MI and reporting so insights are timely, accurate and actionable
  • Contribute ideas to improve processes, controls and portfolio insight
  • Use kren data, systems and (where appropriate) AI‑enabled tools to improve efficiency and risk visibility
  • Build strong collaboration with Origination, Credit and Portfolio Managers
Knowledge & Experience
  • Extensive experience in property lending, development finance, portfolio management or credit review
  • An understanding of UK residential development finance, including cost‑to‑complete and valuation methodologies
  • Experience identifying early‑stage credit concerns and managing complex cases
  • Ability to interpret financials, covenants, loan documentation and monitoring reports
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to simplify complexity and communicate clearly
  • Experience managing cradle‑to‑grave loan lifecycle processes
  • Proficiency in Excel and comfortable working with MI tools and structured data
  • Experience with investment, development or bridging finance products
  • Background in banking, credit, surveying or property development
