IMI CIB_Specialised Finance Associate

Scope and Purpose

The Specialised Finance desk includes two key areas of business:
Structured Finance and ECA Agency.

The role requires a versatile professional who can navigate the complexities of the two structures, ensuring seamless execution and management of a diverse range of activities.

The Associate will focus primarily within the ECA Agency Unit on activities related to ECA‑supported transactions and general agency activities, alongside selected structured finance deals, covering the lifecycle from origination to portfolio management.

4 - 5 years of experience in the role is required.

• Agency and Loan Administration:
  Proven expertise in the operational management and administration of syndicated and bilateral loan facilities, including fee, payment, and covenant monitoring.
• Financial Modelling and Analysis:
  Proficiency in analysing and interpreting financial statements, and supporting financial modelling for structured finance transactions.
• Microsoft Office Suite:
  Advanced competency in Excel (for analysis and modelling) and PowerPoint ( uplift presentation materials).

• Structured Finance Documentation:
  Direct experience structuring or executing specialized transactions involving ECAs.

• English:
  Fluency (written and spoken) is essential.
• Professional working proficiency in Italian is highly desirable.

• ECA (Export Credit Agency) Frameworks:
  Deep understanding of the policies, procedures, and documentation of major ECAs.
• Legal Documentation:
  Strong working knowledge of key financial legal agreements, including Facility Agreements, Guarantee Agreements, Intercreditor Agreements, and Security Documents.
• Financial Markets:
  Solid understanding of global financial markets, credit analysis, and basic capital markets principles.

• Academic:
  Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Law, or a related quantitative field.
• Certifications:
  
  Relevant professional qualifications such as CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst), FRM (Financial Risk Manager), or other specialized finance certifications are highly desirable.
