This role suits a high-energy, hands-on Financial Controller who enjoys operating close to the business in a fast-moving consumer environment. You are commercially aware, operationally strong, and comfortable taking accountability quickly.

You work well in founder-led or brand-led organisations where pace is high, standards are high, and ambiguity is part of the job. You are not fazed by change – you create structure within it.

You’ll be joining a well-known, design-led consumer brand with strong global reach and a loyal customer base. The business is creative, entrepreneurial, and operationally complex, combining wholesale, direct-to-consumer, and international growth.

Finance plays a central role in supporting scale, control, and decision-making. This FTC exists to provide senior BAU leadership while the substantive lead focuses on a major transformation programme. The expectation is stability, grip, and high-quality output from day one.
The initial term is 6 months, with a clear likelihood of extension based on delivery and business need.

You will take full ownership of financial control and reporting, acting as the senior finance lead for the business. This includes:

• End-to-end ownership of month-end close, management accounts, and balance sheet integrity
• Maintaining strong financial controls, processes, and audit readiness
• Oversight of cashflow, working capital, and key reconciliations
• Leading and supporting the finance team to deliver consistently to deadline
• Acting as the primary finance partner to senior stakeholders across the business
• Providing clear, commercial insight to support trading and operational decisions
• Ensuring BAU finance remains robust during periods of system or process change

This is a delivery role with real accountability – not a passive oversight position.

The following are mandatory. Candidates who do not meet these criteria will not be progressed:

• Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA)
• Recent experience as a Financial Controller or Senior Financial Controller
• Background specifically within retail, ecommerce, or consumer brands
• Strong hands-on financial control and reporting capability
• Availability to start immediately or at short notice
• Willingness to work on a fixed-term contract on payroll
• Ability to work 3 days per week from a West London office

• Exposure to finance systems or ERP change alongside BAU
• Experience supporting fast-growing or internationally scaling consumer brands
