Portfolio teams are empowered with advanced quantitative infrastructure that is used, not just for signal generation, but for robust portfolio construction and risk management.

Recognised for leveraging its quantitative tools and combining its systematic analysts with fundamentals, this firm is currently in a significant growth phase and is expanding its TMT sector by appointing a L/S Equity Head. They have already made senior hires to build up the business and are looking for experienced PMs who want to leverage world‑class technology and unique data sets – without the red tape of larger platforms.

The Role

• Independently build and manage an Equity Long/Short portfolio, emphasizing low net delta, balanced factor and industry exposure, and high idiosyncratic alpha.
• Maintain rigorous risk management, continually re‑underwriting positions and challenging investment theses.
• Conduct deep market, industry, and business cycle research to source differentiated ideas.
• Actively collaborate with the broader investment team, sharing insights and contributing to collective intelligence.
• Ensure full compliance with internal policies and external regulations.

Your Profile

• Proven track record of strong, risk‑adjusted returns (Sharpe > 1.5) in an Equity Long/Short strategy.
• Minimum of 5 years’ portfolio management experience, ideally within a hedge fund environment.
• Highly process‑driven, with a distinct investment edge.
• Deep expertise in your equity coverage universe.
• Strong collaborator, eager to build relationships within a dynamic team.
• Naturally curious, with a passion for deep fundamental research.
