** Role Summary and Purpose
*** The role is for a qualified actuary, focused on supporting the capital management of Arch Insurance International.
* Ensure compliance with all industry legislation, regulation, codes of practice, guidance and Arch Group controls relevant to the role
* Assist Arch Senior Management in evaluating strategic business choices on the basis of capital considerations
* Embed Arch International’s capital model in the business
** Key Tasks and Responsibilities
*** Assist the Head of Capital to manage day-to-day activities of the capital team in light of all regulatory and other deadlines
* Provide people management to direct reports and/or technical support to junior members of the team
* Assist in managing third party communication in light of process improvement process and other projects as required
* Assist Head of Capital with moving beyond regulatory capital requirement calculations and ad hoc outward reinsurance assessment
** Role Requirements & Skills**# Skills / Competencies
* Qualified Actuary with at least 3 years post qualification experience
* Technical leader with detailed knowledge of stochastic modelling techniques and insurance to maintain, run and develop the capital model
* People manager
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
* Knowledge of PRA / Lloyd’s requirements# Qualifications
* Fellow of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries, or equivalent# Experience
* Experienced Capital Management Actuary
* Experienced people manager
* Good working experience of capital modelling software experience. Tyche experience is desirable but not necessary.
