Portfolio Underwriter - Commercial

As part of the Portfolio Management team, you will help define, develop and deliver the underwriting strategy to write profitable business. You will leverage existing market relationships to ensure visibility in the London Market, working alongside the Account Manager to translate the KiDS underwriting strategy to our brokers.

• Collaborate with Underwriting Directors, Portfolio Underwriters and Portfolio Management to constantly update underwriting strategies by class.
• Focus on portfolio areas, review based on distribution partner and market feedback, and optimise the commercial lens of the algorithm.
• Develop the revenue strategy with input from the algorithm’s appetite to optimise revenue generation and business mix.

• Previous experience across property underwriting in either the Lloyds or company market.
• A strong commercial understanding of underwriting and ability to assimilate into strategic discussions around portfolio structuring and management.
• Track record of success in developing and executing commercially viable strategies, with high standards of delivery in a timely, cost-effective way.
• Excellent negotiation, communication and presentation skills to drive revenue and business development opportunities across Ki’s distribution network.
• Strong organisational credentials to help drive a dynamic team to deliver the revenue strategy in a coherent manner.
