• The role is for a qualified actuary, focused on supporting the capital management of Arch Insurance International.
• Ensure compliance with all industry legislation, regulation, codes of practice, guidance and Arch Group controls relevant to the role.
• Assist Arch Senior Management in evaluating strategic business choices on the basis of capital considerations.
• Embed Arch International’s capital model in the business.

• Assist the Head of Capital to manage day-to-day activities of the capital team in light of all regulatory and other deadlines.
• Provide people management to direct reports and/or technical support to junior members of the team.
• Assist in managing third party communication in light of process improvement process and other projects as required.
• Assist Head of Capital with moving beyond regulatory capital requirement calculations and ad hoc outward reinsurance assessment.

• Qualified Actuary with at least 3 years post qualification experience.
• Technical leader with detailed knowledge of stochastic modelling techniques and insurance to maintain, run and develop the capital model.
• People manager.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Knowledge of PRA / Lloyd’s requirements.

• Fellow of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries, or equivalent.

• Experienced Capital Management Actuary.
• Experienced people manager.
• Good working experience of capital modelling software. Tyche experience is desirable but not necessary.
