Recruit Wealth are delighted to be representing an Independent Financial Planning practice who have an enviable, award‑winning reputation, fully independent and recognised as a leading advisory name in London. With over 150+ staff and continuing to grow, our client handles circa £2 Billion AUM with expert client care and a true holistic approach at the forefront of everything they do. Very recently and excitingly, new Financial Planners have been joining and there is an increase need for Paraplanning support to continue their advice delivery.

Our client ideally seeks to recruit 3 skilled and competent Paraplanners to work alongside high producing Financial Planners who manage a diverse portfolio of clients. The important role of the Paraplanner with our client is to support one or more of their Financial Planners in a compliant and efficient manner.

• Conducting regular meetings with the Financial Planner in order to:
  • Manage new business cases/submissions
  • Keep abreast of the Financial Planner's new business pipeline
  • Undertake research into the different financial products that can be held by a client and understand which are suitable, factoring in the advantages and disadvantages of each product
• Writing client suitability reports using the preferred report writing software in the following areas:
  • Protection
  • Pensions/retirement planning
  • Investments
  • Equity release
  • Cash‑flow forecasting
• Understanding and suitably applying the company's investment process and various investment offerings to meet a client's attitude to risk, personal circumstances and financial objectives.
• Understanding and using software to support the advice process, including:

  • FE‑Analytics
  • Defaqto Engage
  • Underwrite Me
  • Micap/Tax Efficient Review

  • Microsoft Office
• Develop a working knowledge of providers' platforms and supporting websites with:
  • General understanding and navigation of the providers sites used
  • Obtaining the correct documentation to support business sign‑ups
  • Performing online transactions – including fund switching, withdrawals, cash management
  • Managing client data
  • Working with the Financial Planner to prepare for client meetings and assisting with regular client reviews
  • Supporting the Financial Planners, as‑and‑when appropriate, in building cash‑flow models to assist the client in overseeing their financial position, forecast future financial scenarios
  • Collaborating with Financial Planners to ensure suitability of advice and completeness of paperwork for all clients
  • Managing fund switches on client pensions and investments, ensuring they are invested in line with their risk profile
• Communicating with the Financial Planner regarding any tax implications for placing withdrawals
• Dealing with withdrawals from pensions and investments in general
• Building relationships with Financial Planners, clients and providers
• Attending client meetings, if required

All applications will be considered by those who can evidence at least 1 year of Paraplanning experience and are Diploma Level 4 qualified. Considerations can be made if close to Diploma and wanting to continue with further professional development.
