The Role

The Senior Associate, Sales Relationship Manager is a rare and exciting opportunity to join our client sales team dedicated to serving large UK-based money managers. We seek a dedicated, dynamic self-starter who thrives in a team-oriented environment. Our client sales team markets to institutional investors, including some of the world’s top investment and asset management firms, mutual funds, pension funds, insurance companies, hedge funds, and more.

This role primarily focuses on fixed income credit and emerging market products.

How You’ll Help Take Us There
  • Assume coverage of UK clients following training, provide back-up to colleagues
  • Become proficient in presenting the platform’s functionality to clients to maximize trade enquiries through Market Axess
  • Be fully conversant with system upgrades and be able to explain these to clients
  • Develop senior relationships with key clients especially at trading desk level
  • Leverage your thorough understanding of fixed income markets, especially Credit and Emerging Markets
  • Understand investor client trading needs and how Market Axess’ platform can meet them
  • Prepare data/presentations for client pitches
  • Prepare bespoke reports for clients showing volumes traded on the platform, product segmentation, Trade Cost Analysis
  • Learn to train, set up and take clients live. Provide ongoing client training
  • Learn the principles of client integration with Market Axess through STP connectivity
What We’re Looking For
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 3+ years of experience in financial services; sales or operations experience from a broker/dealer or relevant experience working for a fixed income electronic trading venue preferred
  • Knowledge of the fixed income markets, preferably investment grade, high yield, emerging markets, leveraged loans, credit derivatives and fixed income ETFs
  • Knowledge of the Market Axess platform and product suite, preferred
  • Self-starter, results-oriented and tenacious
  • Ability to interact with and provide insight to line-traders
  • Ability to proactively tackle business problems with creative solutions
  • Interpersonal, communication and influencing skills (eg. negotiation, consultative skills)
  • Ability to deliver results amidst continuous change in an agile work environment
  • Excellent analytical, quantitative, verbal and written communication skills
