Senior Business Analyst - Finance Transformation

Position: Senior Business Analyst - Finance Transformation (Contract)
A world-leading bank is currently seeking a Senior Finance Transformation Business Analyst to join their London-based Finance EMEA team. This role will support a major initiative focused on IFRS transition, automation of financial closing processes, and reporting alignment across multiple entities.

Key Requirements:

Proven experience as a Business Analyst within large banks or consultancies, with hands-on involvement across the full project lifecycle.
Expertise in finance transformation programmes, including IFRS transition, sub-ledger implementation, and process automation.
Strong understanding of core accounting concepts, multi-GAAP environments, and GL functions (chart of accounts, intercompany, FX management).
Familiarity with financial products such as corporate lending, loans, repos, deposits, and capital markets products (derivatives, OTC, fixed income).
Ability to compile BRDs, FRDs, functional specifications, and comprehensive test plans for UAT.
Skilled in financial data analysis, process mapping, and working with financial data concepts, reporting structures, and BI tools.

Experience with Finance platforms such as Oracle GL/Subledger, Murex, LoanIQ.
Exceptional stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across business and IT teams.
Accounting qualifications (full or part qualified) and familiarity with IFRS, UK-GAAP, J-GAAP are desirable.
