We’ve got an exciting opportunity to join our Corporate Mergers & Acquisitions tax team within our International Transaction Tax Service (ITTS), recognized as a leader in cross‑border M&A. You will be advising some of the largest corporations in the world on their M&A deals and will work with top Partners and a high‑performing team that has advised on many high‑profile transactions.
It’s a great time to join an expanding team, and you'll help clients navigate market challenges on an international scale. In this role you will gain wide‑ranging experience in all core areas of the deal cycle, including tax structuring, sell and buy‑side due diligence, funds flows, SPA reviews, refinancings, and cross‑border structuring techniques.
YourKey Responsibilities
- Manage the successful delivery of technically complex transaction tax projects, ensuring technical excellence and a practical/business focus.
- Pursue business development opportunities.
- Provide development support to junior team members through supervision, coaching and mentoring.
- Contribute to people initiatives, including retaining and training our team.
- Play a significant role in managing the team’s strategy, operations and junior staff development and assignments.
- Strong technical and practical tax knowledge.
- Client-focused, strategically and commercially aware.
- Excellent client relationship management and ability to deliver quality outputs.
- Negotiation skills.
- Business development skills, able to identify and convert opportunities.
- Effective time management and composure under pressure.
- Strong written and oral communication.
- Experience in M&A tax or UK/international tax advisory.
- ACA / Law qualification / Tax specialist qualification or equivalent breadth of knowledge.
- Strong tax technical and project delivery skills.
- Business development experience to identify and convert opportunities.
- Experience coaching and developing junior staff.
Knowledge of M&A tax elements helpful but not required.
