Our client, a private investment firm is seeking to hire an Investment Associate based in their London office. This position will focus on investment opportunities within the life sciences sector.

Key Responsibilities:

• Identify and analyse potential investment opportunities
• Lead due-diligence and deep-dive on new investments
• Build and maintain financial models to support transactions and valuation analysis of prospective investments
• Monitor activities with portfolio companies – providing analysis of performance and tracking monthly/quarterly financial information
• Support with the management of portfolio companies, including operational and strategic decisions, as well as preparation for exit
• Undertake vital analysis on market trends to support investment decisions on new transactions and portfolio companies
• Assist with developing and formulating meeting materials and reports as part of presentations for Investment Committee
• Develop strong working relationships with other teams internally including Business Development, Investor Relations and Operations/Finance

Candidate Requirements:

• 3-4 years’ relevant experience as an analyst within investment banking, private equity/venture capital, corporate finance, transaction services or equivalent
• Experience with life sciences investments would be desirable
• Self-motivated, proactive and hard-working with a high level of commercial acumen
• Team player and excellent communicator
• Exceptional financial modelling skills
• Positive attitude towards problem solving
• Strong analytical ability and numerate
• Excellent academic background
