Job Description

We’re Entain. We're home to a global family of more than 25 well-known brands, and with a focus on sustainability and growth, we will transform our sector for our players, for ourselves and for the good of entertainment.

As an Art Lead within Entain’s In-House Studios, you are responsible for the quality, consistency, and timely completion of game artwork across a defined set of titles while continuing to contribute hands‑on at a senior level. Acting as a hybrid senior practitioner and people leader, you will own the day-to-day execution of art delivery, ensuring quality, consistency, and timely output across a high‑volume game pipeline.

Reporting into the Art Manager, you will lead a small team of artists, translating studio and art‑department strategy into practical execution. While maintaining active involvement in game production, you will provide clear direction, support team development, and ensure improvement initiatives are embedded effectively within your team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own the delivery of art across multiple concurrent games, ensuring high quality, consistency, and adherence to agreed timelines
  • Line manage a team of artists, providing clear goals, regular feedback, and development support in line with studio and art‑department objectives
  • Continue to contribute hands‑on to game production at a Senior Technical Artist level, depending on background
  • Plan and coordinate art workload across the team, balancing throughput, quality, and delivery risk
  • Execute improvement initiatives and workflows defined by the Art Manager / Head of Art, embedding them into team practice
  • Identify and elevate delivery risks, capacity constraints, or quality concerns in a timely and transparent manner
  • Collaborate closely with Producers, Game Designers, Developers, and QA to ensure smooth and predictable delivery
  • Delegate mentorship and specialist craft guidance to senior or specialist team members where appropriate, while retaining accountability for outcomes
  • Maintain clear documentation, asset organisation, and visibility of art progress across assigned projects
  • Actively participate in planning, review, and feedback meetings, representing art delivery and contributing to continuous improvement discussions
Qualifications Essential
  • Proven experience at Senior Technical Artist level within game development or a comparable creative environment
  • Strong understanding of end-to-end game development pipelines and art production workflows
  • Ability to balance hands‑on delivery with people management and delivery ownership
  • Experience working across multiple projects simultaneously in a fast‑paced environment
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to provide clear direction and feedback
Desired
  • Previous experience line managing or formally supporting other artists
  • Experience implementing process or quality improvements within a production team
  • Strong organisational and prioritisation skills in high‑volume content environments
  • Passion for games and an understanding of player‑focused visual quality
Competencies / Behaviours
  • Honesty and integrity
  • Accountability for team outcomes and delivery
  • Ability to take and provide constructive feedback
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Good organisation and prioritisation skills
  • Ability to work independently and as a leader within a team
  • Driven to improve, succeed, and support others to do the same
