Investment Associate (Gaming & Gambling VC) Who we are

Velo Partners is a venture capital firm investing in the digital global games, gambling and betting sectors. We back exceptional founders across interactive entertainment, iGaming, platforms, B2B services, software studios and adjacent opportunities at the intersection of gaming, technology and regulated markets.

We are hiring an Investment Associate to join our London team. The role offers meaningful responsibility across sourcing, diligence, execution and portfolio support, working closely with Partners and founders.

• Build relationships with founders, operators, advisers and other investors
• Support pipeline development and CRM discipline
• Attend relevant conferences and ecosystem events
• Evaluate opportunities and build investment memos
• Support diligence: KPI deep-dives, market and competitor analysis, founder calls / meetings
• Build and maintain financial/operating models; support valuation and cap table analysis
• Support closing: term sheets, transaction docs, coordination with lawyers/founders
• Track KPIs, burn/runway, fundraising plans and strategic milestones
• Support board materials, investor updates and follow-on work
• Track investor updates in CRM
• Build internal capabilities using AI tools to help refine all aspects of the VC workflow
• Knowledgeable and demonstrable interest in games sector and/or iGaming and betting. You follow the space closely and have strong opinions on what’s working (and what isn’t)
• Commercial, curious and dependable with high attention to detail
• Strong written communication and structured thinking
• Confident with founders/operators; proactive and accountable
• Strong interest in how AI is reshaping gaming, gambling and interactive entertainment
• Demonstrable interest in gaming/iGaming/gambling (industry experience a plus)

• 1-2 years in accounting, IB, consulting, corp dev, VC or a high-performing startup role
• Strong Excel modelling and research/synthesis skills
• Nice to have:
• Familiarity with gaming KPIs (retention, LTV, ARPDAU, ROAS) and iGaming/betting metrics
• Comfort with venture docs, cap tables and deal mechanics
• Understanding on AI toolset for use in VC
• High responsibility and steep learning curve with direct exposure to live deals
• Work at close quarters with partners and leading founders across a global ecosystem
• Small, high-trust team with room to grow and take ownership

• Travel: periodic European and international travel for conferences and portfolio meetings
• Compensation: competitive base + bonus
