Location: Greater London
Event Manager
Event Manager with a broad level of experience is required for a busy and successful event organisation. The Event Manager will be a main point of contact for clients. The Event Manager will help provide a full event management service and attend events here in the UK and overseas. The Event Manager's role will involve working for clients within a broad range of sectors.
Duties may vary depending on experience.
- Excellent Marketing, PR, and IT support for the role, including managing marketing, PR, copywriting, social media, and online marketing activities.
- Booking venues and hotel accommodation, coordinating stand designs, contractors, caterers, and equipment, and handling registrations for a range of events.
- Ensuring insurance, legal, health, and safety obligations are met.
- Managing finance, budgeting, and accounting processes, including financial transactions and financial reporting.
- Producing venue plans, managing speakers, planning room layouts, and overseeing the management of junior and temporary support staff.
- Proficient use of Excel, Word, Outlook, and other systems.
- Managing media relations and printed/digital material.
- Liaising with clients and designers to create tickets, posters, event guides, and sales brochures.
- Participating in workshops and assisting with selling space to potential exhibitors or partners.
- Providing regular reports to keep clients up to date on progress and handling email correspondence.
- Updating the website when necessary and handling logistics for multiple events.
- Dealing with subcontractors, managing security and first aid, overseeing the dismantling of events, and clearing venues.
- A passion for the events industry with good business and leadership skills.
- Solid events experience or a graduate with relevant event qualifications and some experience of organising events.
- Excellent marketing, PR, and IT skills.
- Strong time‑management abilities and an enthusiastic team‑player attitude.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Confident, outgoing, professional, and well‑presented, with a self‑starter attitude and leadership qualities.
- Motivation to work either independently or as part of a team.
