Congress & Events Manager

GES EMEA is looking for a confident, solutions-focused Congress and Events Manager to lead the delivery of congress events across the UK—and occasionally in Europe. You’ll be the face of GES to some of our most prestigious clients, ensuring every detail is delivered to the highest standard, every time. If you're looking for a role where you can take ownership, make an impact, and be part of a high-performing team, this is your opportunity.

What

You’ll Do
  • Own the end-to-end delivery of allocated events—on time, on budget, and to GES’s industry-leading standards*
  • Act as the main point of contact for clients, ensuring they feel supported and confident from first brief to final breakdown*
  • Identify additional revenue streams, upsell services, and collaborate across departments to add value and maximise margins*
  • Take charge on-site: manage operations during build and break, lead internal teams, liaise with suppliers, and maintain a calm, professional presence throughout live event days*
  • Communicate clearly with all departments, ensuring internal teams are aligned with client expectations and event requirements*
  • Stay commercial: review budgets, monitor P&Ls, forecast revenues, and manage contract details in systems like Salesforce and Clarity*
  • Champion GES products: promote our full suite of services—particularly our innovative solutions like Event Intelligence—and represent our brand proudly at every stage.
What We’re Looking For
  • Solid experience in event project / account management within exhibitions, congress, or large-scale live events sectors.
  • Excellent organisational skills and a meticulous eye for detail.
  • A confident communicator who can build strong relationships with both clients and internal teams.
  • Commercially aware, with experience managing budgets and spotting revenue opportunities.
  • Comfortable leading on-site during live events and working flexibly, including occasional travel and weekend work.
  • A proactive team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in doing things properly.
What You’ll Get
  • The opportunity to lead prestigious projects from start to finish.
  • A competitive salary and benefits package.
  • A supportive team and a culture that values creativity, collaboration, and ownership.
  • Career development opportunities within a global organisation.
  • The chance to work on events that make a real impact.
Our Values

At GES, we value trust, responsibility, understanding, and excellence. We’re committed to sustainability and continuous improvement, and we take pride in helping our people—and our clients—succeed.

If you're a confident, capable event professional ready to own your portfolio and deliver world-class experiences, we’d love to hear from you. Apply today and help us shape the future of live events at GES UK.
