The RoleJoin the Platform Operations team at Moonbug, managing one of the largest and most successful kids' content portfolios on You Tube. Our network generates over 10 billion views per month, and we're looking for a seasoned Content t to help us continue to scale our operations.
This is a mid-level, individual contributor role for a hands-on specialist who is obsessed with process, efficiency, and the technical details of You Tube's rights management systems. You will report to the Associate Director, Platform Rights Operations, and work within a collaborative, data-driven team that values using technology to solve complex problems. If you are the person who instinctively spots inefficiencies and thinks in terms of systems and automation, this role is for you.
WhatYou'll Do
- Systematically manage the full lifecycle of Content across multiple CMSs, including the resolution of potential, disputed, and appealed claims
- Own and execute the ingestion workflows for both music and audio-visual reference files, ensuring metadata accuracy and preventing reference conflicts
- Collaborate with channel managers, production, label, and publishing teams to ensure accurate content distribution and full optimization of music assets.
- Manage and refine escalation pathways for complex rights issues
- Conduct regular audits on assets, references, and claims to ensure our Content is optimized and effective
- Proactively identify opportunities to improve our claiming operations through new tools, automations, or by collaborating with our engineering team on solutions
- Analyze UGC performance data to identify trends and opportunities that inform our content claiming and distribution strategy
- Work with a wider team to actively source and execute manual claims to capture revenue on high-value user-generated content
Core Requirements
- 3+ years of direct, hands-on experience managing a large-scale You Tube CMS and Content expertise should cover the full spectrum of asset, claim, video, and reference management
- Deep, practical knowledge of both music and audio-visual Content , policies, and best practices
- A technical and systems-thinking mindset, with a proven ability to diagnose complex operational problems and identify opportunities for automation or engineering-led solutions. You don't need to be a coder, but you must be able to articulate a problem clearly to one
- A high degree of precision and attention to detail; you understand that small errors in rights management can have a large impact
- Proficiency in Excel for data analysis and reporting
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience managing Content n a music label or music publisher
- Familiarity with Custom
-based reporting structures and You Tube's suite of reporting products - Working knowledge of SQL for querying and analyzing data
- Familiarity with the applications of You Tube's APIs (what they can do, not necessarily using them)
- Completion of You Tube certification courses (e.g., Asset Monetization, Content Ownership)
- Familiarity with Music CMS Pillar requirements
- Experience collaborating with You Tube channel management teams; this role focuses on Content operates in close coordination with our in-house channel management experts
