Technician - Improvements | 9886 | Permanent Contract | 37 hours per week | £31,537 to £33,699 per annum (Scale G) | County Hall, Norwich
This position is an exciting opportunity to help shape the future output of the Highways Capital Programme. The role will support the development of the Local Cycling and Walking Infrastructure Plan (LCWIP) pipeline of feasibility studies and an increasing improvements programme to deliver value for money and achieve national, Local Transport Plan and local targets. The proposals you help form will support internal and external funding opportunities to ensure that Norfolk maintains its successful record in securing funding from the Department for Transport and other sources.
The role will support the implementation of the Highway Capital Programme within the allocated budgets, consisting of hundreds of projects per annum, ranging from small maintenance schemes to major projects.
- Assist in the development of highway proposals, project and financial management.
- Support the LCWIP feasibility studies and delivery of an increasing improvements programme.
- Help ensure value for money and alignment with national, Local Transport Plan and local targets.
- Contribute to securing internal and external funding opportunities.
- Collaborate with the team to implement the Highway Capital Programme within allocated budgets.
- Demonstrate experience in highway development, project management and financial management.
- Work as a team player with interpersonal skills to develop and deliver solutions.
- Experience in the development of highway proposals, project management and financial management.
- Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills; ability to develop and deliver solutions as part of a team.
