By processing household waste at our facility, we produce enough waste from energy to power 80,000 homes every year and recycle 70% of items through our Reuse and Recycling Centres.
Aboutthe opportunity
We’ve designed our Maintenance apprenticeship programme to support our team at Edmonton London to maintain our Energy Recovery Facility to create energy from waste contributing to a more sustainable future for the communities we serve.
We are creating these positions as part of our long-term succession plan to feed our brand new plant currently being built next door to our existing facility at a cost of £1.5 billion with home grown talent and experience.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join London Energy (LEL) and really kick start your career in electrical and instrumentation pathway.
How will it work? The training will involve a combination of day/block release study at college learning about electrical/instrumentation maintenance. The rest of your time will be spent in the workplace gaining hands on experience.

With no two days the same, whether the work is planned, to prevent a problem happening, or to fix something when it goes wrong, you’ll keep our plant running smoothly to deliver the vital service we provide.
