Our client is on the lookout for a Highways Inspector. You will deliver General and Principal Inspections (GIs & PIs) across a busy Central London highways network, ensuring structural assets remain safe, compliant and fit for purpose. This is a hands-on inspection role requiring demonstrable experience in highway structures, technical reporting and safety-led delivery. You will split your time between site-based inspections and detailed office reporting, working to defined programmes and performance targets.
What you will need
Degree in Civil Engineering and demonstrable experience undertaking General and Principal Inspections of highway structures.
Strong working knowledge of bridge condition indicators and inspection reporting to client specifications.
Valid CSCS card, PTS (or BTA), Confined Space and IPAF certifications, plus a full UK driving licence.
Proven experience preparing and working to RAMS, with a clear commitment to high health & safety standards.
Experience leading or supporting structural inspections within highways (Bridge Station knowledge desirable).
What’s in it for you
£41,000–£45,000 salary.
40-hour contract with variable shift pattern and 3-week on-call rota.
